A Plenary Congregational Gathering (Chapter) of the Presentation Sisters was held at Dalgan Park, in Ireland from May 8th to June 2nd, 2006. It was attended by fifty five delegates from across the world.

The Theme of the Gathering was Be still… Be Still…Move Beyond the Possible. The gathering invited us to deep reflection in relation to our Life and Mission as Presentation women.

The commitments arising from that reflection will help to direct and focus our energy and resources for the next six years. They call us to move beyond what seems impossible to where our heart dreams….

As the gathering progressed we became increasingly aware of our need to develop a spirituality of being in communion, a spirituality which seeks God in the inter-connectedness of the whole of creation and empowers active love for self, others and all of      nature.

The gathering committed us

• to reflect critically on the use of power, including our own, in order to change unjust systems at local, national and international levels and
• to move towards ways of living that enable social justice and sustainability.
