On Saturday 28th April 2007 a long awaited dream was fulfilled. The Presentation Sisters who have already been ministering in Bratislava and in Spisske Podhradie opened their new convent in Spisske Podhradie in Eastern Slovakia. This mission of the Presentation Sisters from the three Irish Provinces is to the Roma children and their parents.

The opening took place amid great celebration. It was a very festive occasion with dignitaries from Church and State present to welcome the Sisters. Children from the school, which was recently founded by the Sisters, took part in the ceremonies.
