Presentation Adult Volunteer Project

Presentation Volunteers for Zambia, The Philippines and Zimbabwe

Generosity is not lacking in our young teachers and friends.   Since Christmas a group of seven young women, six of them teachers,  one a second year student in Maynooth have been preparing to give some of their holiday time to helping  in Presentation Missions abroad.  They followed a structured programme under the guidance of Sr. Ursula Lawler, meeting monthly in Athlone, until no stone was left unturned to ensure that the venture would run as smoothly as possible. As we write (25 June 2007)Bernadette Fitzgerald and Marie Scally are in the second of their four week’s volunteer work in Zimbabwe.

We thank all for their generosity, wish them many blessings from their new experiences and look forward to a variety of sharing when all are safely home.
