Tóir……The Irish word meaning “Search or “Quest”

An initiative of The Presentation and Christian Brothers and the Presentation Sisters

The Tóir Programme is A New International Opportunity for all those who desire to:

• walk in the footsteps of Edmund and Nano in the places where they lived and worked.
• be energized to respond sensitively to the needs of our world in the spirit of Nano Nagle and Edmund Rice.
• explore dimensions of contemporary spirituality in an international setting.
• e-imagine images of God.
• care for the earth.
• work for justice.

The Tóir Programme, which is in its third year, took place from 29 July to 20 August 2007at Emmaus Retreat and Conference Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin.  The large group of Sisters, Brothers and lay colleagues from across the globe enjoyed a stimulating programme at Emmaus and travelled to the places of pilgrimage associated with Nano and Edmund:  Mt. Sion, Waterford; Callan, Co.Kilkenny;  Ballygriffin and South Presentation Convent,Cork.   

The programme ended with Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Gabriel Atidoo in South Presentation Convent and was followed by a Blessing and Missioning of each participant by members of the Leadership of the Three Congregations. 

We wish all who journeyed together this year the rich blessings of peace, energy for mission and love in their hearts for all whom they will encounter in the years ahead.
